The beach
On a sunny, windy day when I looked at the beach, straight away, I thought of how fresh and beautiful it is. It looked very slippery and it made me want to splash into the waves.
I felt the fresh air all over my body. It made me cold but not as cold as crushed ice. The sand that I walked on is so soft, that it made me want to sleep on it. While suntanning on the sand with my towel, the sun started warming my back. The coconut as rough as a pineapple skin crackled on a rock .
The taste of salty water on my tongue splashed in my face as I started to swim. The taste of coconut spreads throughout my mouth, tasting like a sweet, juicy and creamy coconut shake.
The smell of fresh coconut that passed up my nose made me want to eat more coconuts and the strong smell of salty water made me want to stop opening my mouth while swimming .
The sound of the wind blowing through the leaves on the tree gave me a fright. I heard the sound of the waves going swoosh and splash on the sand. The sound of the shell on the sand crackled under my feet and it tickled me.
Kia Ora Katherine, you painted such a vivid image in my head by all the descriptive language you used. I particularly like the phrase 'The coconut as rough as a pineapple skin crackled on a rock .' thank you for sharing
ReplyDeleteKia Ora Whaea Nardi thank you for your awesome comment. Question, do you have any interesting phrase for me if you saw a coconut on the rock?
